Intern for quality customer service to internal customers and provide them a single point of contact to report system problems or make inquiries. Assist customers who are experiencing hardware and/or software system malfunctions. Manage day-to-day service delivery of problems, repair and return faulty hardware and assist with special projects as assigned.
Intern Functions
1. Answer questions and troubleshoot to resolution problems related to POS, Scale, PC / Networking, and Telecommunications systems. Answer questions related to system policies and procedures.2. Record symptoms and status information in a timely manner. Resolve or escalate problems to Senior Analyst based on impact to operations and in accordance with Service Level Agreements.3. Ensure customer satisfaction by responding quickly to requests placed to the Systems Support Desk. Log all problems in call tracking database and track the same through to final resolution.4. Repair and return specified faulty hardware to customers and/or vendors.5. Develop systems skills using all available resources including manuals, on-line documents, peers, and CBT.6. Stay informed of all system and procedure changes that effect customers.7. Assist Information Systems department with hardware/software upgrades and/or fixes.8. Stay informed of all system and procedure changes that effect customers. Attend various departmental staff meetings9. Achieve specific competencies for Analyst position.
Education:
Currently enrolled or planning to obtain a 4 year College degree from an accredited college (business and computer science degrees preferred); or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination
- Communication Skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills. Superior telephone etiquette and an ability to deal effectively with customers, vendors, peers and management
- Mathematical Skills - ability to understand basic percents and simple calculations, trending and averages.

- Strong problem-solving skills, good technical and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to make independent decisions giving full consideration to business operations and/or customer impact.
- Organization and Planning Skills - Good initiative and project management skills. The ability to organize work in an efficient manner and to work well under stress and time pressures.
